How To Stop Procrastinating When You Really Don’t Wanna
I don’t know about you, but I cannot stand those who don’t get things done until the last minute. They have had so much time to do what they were supposed to do and after so much time has elapsed, they still haven’t gotten around to it.
Do you know why? Because they just don’t get anything done at all. Especially if they are working with you on a project. I get so angry when they haven’t done their part while I worked hard at doing mine.
I ask them these questions:
Did you ever get around to doing the job you were supposed to do?
They say: ‘Oh, well, I haven’t gotten around to it.’
When are you going to do your part of the job?
They say: ‘ I’ll do it later”, or ‘I’ll do it tomorrow’, or ‘I’ll get to it eventually’.
Arrgh why not just get it over and done with today? Or schedule in a time to do it?
Okay so here is the thing though. Sometimes I tend to procrastinate. If a project or a task looks difficult to do, or downright dreadful to do, then I leave it until the last minute as well. That is because I would rather walk on hot coal than to do a very difficult or unpleasant task.
