I am happy for you, that is great your son is doing well. My son is smart but is highly manipulative and lacks a lot of motivation, and sees no reason to do well, which is sad but it is what it is. He will have to stay in a group home, but he will work and is independent with self-care and hygiene so it could be worse. It was not the ideal ending, but it beats what could have happened if he did not leave.. which would have been him regressing so badly to the point of losing speech and ending up in diapers again while I balloon up to 600 lbs being a shell of a person, and what would happen to my daughter in all of that?
