I discovered my limits after special needs caregiving and that changes you in so many ways, and I couldn’t handle it which was the catalyst for me overcoming pathological people pleasing by transitioning him to a therapeutic facility. I have made it clear I cannot do it again and I’m fortunate my parents have the means to hire outside help. I realize not everyone is fortunate but my mental health could not again.
