I have a complex relationship with my parents as they were unfairly hard on me growing up while they were easy on my brother but incidents humbled them and they treat me with respect as they are aging and unhappy so I ensure I speak to them daily. It is good they changed their perspective of me as at one time I was going to go no contact at one point
