I’m really happy for you that you found your true love. I’m honestly coexisting with mine for financial reasons and he’s not a bad guy by any means but after doing so much reflection I’m going to have to force him to look at some truths (he’s a professional avoider sadly) after we return from our trip and I am settled with my new job (I do not want to do it before either as I am spending my energy prepping for both). It will be a tense summer but I believe it will foretell the future I have with him. The hardships and challenges we had did degrade things and after a lot of reflection I now see it clearly. He needs to acknowledge it. My daughter at some point will move out and this needs to be settled before it happens. I don’t want to be hissing at him and tossing passive aggressive stuff at him due to a build up of resentment.
