I’m so glad you wrote this because these platitudes are sickening. It’s running rampant in spiritual communities too. They tell you that you planned your trauma before you were born to teach you a lesson! Seriously?? Ok then what kind of lesson was it for a 3 year old to be molested by their 50 year old uncle? (No this did not happen to me but I’ve seen this type of victim shaming in these communities) so no, saying that crap is only going to cause more harm than good, to those grieving too.
