This should not be happening but sadly it is.

If nothing else, schools may place more value on safety. Teachers can only do so much. I didn’t become a teacher thinking I would someday have to step into the line of violence, but here we are. Most teachers will welcome any tools to better prepare them for these situations.

This should not be happening but sadly it is. Teachers definitely need training on how to handle violence and crimes and this is one of the many ways the education system fails.
